Exclude Internal Traffic

We don't want to report on our own visits to our site. We're on our site for very different purposes than our customers, so our browsing behavior is completely different. Including our own visits will throw off our numbers.

We just need to create a simple IP exclude filter to address this issue. First, find out what your IP address is or the range of IP addresses for your office. You can use Google's help article on excluding a range of IP addresses to quickly give you the accurate RegEx to use: article. If you don't know your IP address, just ask Google!

Once you have this information, it's very simple to actually create the filter:

Note: Excluding internal traffic can definitely get more complex than this filter. This filter is intended to show what is often needed so people can get started.
